It’s Time to Spring Clean Your Marketing Plan
It’s hard to believe that the first quarter of the year has come and gone. But there’s no use crying over lost time (or broken resolutions…our diet starts again Monday!). Instead, make the most of this season and freshen up your marketing plan!
Re-evaluate – With three months of trial and error on your side, it’s a great time to re-evaluate your marketing efforts to see what’s working and what’s not. Hint: You’re 53 times more likely to appear on the first page of Google if you have video embedded on your website (Comscore). It may be time to revise your content mix and introduce or add more video.
Re-engage – The dreariness of winter is fading fast, providing the perfect opportunity to spruce things up and boost your audience engagement. Video allows you to be authentic and relatable. People connect with people, not corporate messaging so feature your customers, employees or brand ambassadors to effectively engage with your audience.
Reconnect – Talk to your sales team to ensure that your messaging speaks to the challenges of prospects and customers. Video can quickly and effectively relay your business value in a visual, easy to understand manner, but the message must be on point
Recycle – It wouldn’t be spring cleaning without some resourcefulness. What marketing resources from the past quarter can be repurposed for the new season? Long form videos can be re-worked for social media content or event footage can be transformed into a highlights video to promote the next event or your company culture. With a little creativity, these assets can be recycled – providing you with more valuable content while saving time and money!
