Three Video Marketing Tips to Bring Into 2021
The new year may not have given us the fresh start we were hoping for (we see you COVID), but that doesn’t mean we can’t use the hard-earned experience we gained from the 2020 to crush this year. Here are a few lessons that are worth applying to your video marketing strategy moving forward: 2020 tested, 2021 approved!
1. If your clients can’t go to you, go to your clients. A year of lockdowns and quarantines have made virtual events the new normal, which is a plus when it comes to reaching your client base in the comfort of their own home. From online fundraisers to virtual conferences, make the most of live or pre-recorded events to stay engaged with your audience. Need inspiration? 2. Elevate Your Online Presence. While Zoom is a great tool for internal communication, it should be used sparingly when addressing your client base. Typical #ZoomProblems like poor video quality, bad lighting, and dropped calls can leave your message lost in translation. Instead, opt to pre-record key components of your event or campaign (an address from the CEO, an influential client testimonial, digital ads, etc.) in a professional setting where the lighting and sound quality can be properly managed.
3. Keep Communicating. 2020 had most of us wanting to zone out, turn on Netflix, and wait for the world to get back to normal, but we quickly realized that communication was (and still is) king. Whether it’s updating your terms of service to reflect changing safety guidelines, rebranding your website with pandemic-friendly imagery, or simply reaching out to clients to remind them how you can help, consistent communication is more relevant (and needed) than ever.
