Lifestyle Video Production in Fort Lauderdale

Digital Cut Productions is an Emmy and Telly Award-winning video production company based in Fort Lauderdale. We create lifestyle videos that capture authentic experiences, emotions, and stories — content that connects brands, municipalities, and organizations with their audiences on a human level. Our lifestyle work spans South Florida and nationally across a wide range of formats and subjects.

Our lifestyle profile of La Vie En Blanc, a French interior designer based in South Florida, earned two Telly Awards in 2021: Best General Non-Broadcast Production and Best Cinematography. That same cinematography approach defines every lifestyle project we take on.

Our lifestyle portfolio includes a high-energy fashion runway video for Neiman Marcus in Miami, a brand campaign video for the City of Parkland as part of the #ThisIsParkland series, and a promotional video for the Super Bowl LIV host city of Miami Gardens. For Fort Lauderdale musician Mark Zaden, we produced a music video capturing the authentic South Florida boating lifestyle using aerial cinematography and on-water narrative storytelling. For the Dania Pointe mural project, we documented the artistic process in a short-form piece. For Bougainvilla Family Therapy Center in Fort Lauderdale, we produced an educational video told through the eyes of the children it serves.

Every lifestyle project begins with creative development — aligning on story, tone, and purpose before a camera rolls. We shoot on RED Cinema and Sony FX Series camera systems, and our FAA-certified drone team is available for aerial sequences. We manage every phase from pre-production through final delivery.

CASE STUDIES

La Vie en Blanc

“How do we get a horse to eat at the dinner table?” Not a question we ever expected to be asking — but that’s where the creative vision for this project took us.

Caroline Giraud sees interiors the way other people see relationships — as something that has to have a soul. The Fort Lauderdale interior designer and boutique owner, whose portfolio includes the private residence of Prince Albert of Monaco, doesn’t decorate spaces. She inhabits them.

The project was already in development when the pandemic shutdowns hit in 2020. Caroline’s boutique went dark along with everything else — she could meet clients by appointment, but the world she’d built was on hold indefinitely. We stripped down to a skeleton crew, moved everything outdoors, and kept going

We produced the video as a gift to a fellow small business and the community. Voice of America later covered it as part of their pandemic “Finding Hope” series — Caroline told VOA the video was being used on social media to drive traffic to her website and attract new clients during the shutdown. The setting was a South Florida horse farm — open land, natural light, an elegant stillness that matched Caroline’s world. We shot on RED Cinema, which gave us the latitude to capture high-speed imagery with cinematic depth: a young woman on horseback in a white dress moving through the frame, household pieces — an armoire, objects of beauty — placed deliberately in the middle of the pasture. The juxtaposition was intentional. Caroline speaks in the video about the armoire in her childhood home in France, the one she says good morning to because it makes her smile. Seeing that same kind of object standing in an open field, surrounded by horses and sky, makes the point without a word of explanation.

She speaks entirely in French throughout, with English subtitles — not an affectation, but simply who she is.

The video went on to win two 2021 Telly Awards — Best Cinematography and Best General Non-Broadcast Production.

PropWalking — Mark Zaden & The Weedline Band

Mark Zaden has been a Fort Lauderdale music institution for decades. PropWalking is his tribute to a group of South Florida teenagers who grew up chasing mahi on the weedline together — Mark included. Those guys are now in their 50s and still make it out on the water once in a while.

During the pandemic lockdowns of 2020, Mark began performing Facebook Live concerts from his home, connecting with fans when live music had gone quiet. One performance of PropWalking stopped us cold. We knew the song deserved more than a lyric video.

To capture the passage of time, we shot flashback sequences on 8mm film, casting local kids to play the younger versions of the crew. Present-day footage was captured on RED Cinema and Blackmagic cameras, with DJI drone footage bringing the South Florida seascape to life. The result is a music video that feels less like a production and more like a memory — a genuine love letter to Fort Lauderdale, the open water, and the friendships that outlast everything.

PropWalking serves as the official music video for the song on Mark’s YouTube channel.
